About Me

I’m Ben Katzaman, a creative founder based in the mountains of Utah. My work centers on original sculptural designs inspired by mountain landscapes, carving traditions, and time spent outdoors.

I develop each design through a hands-on creative process, working closely with skilled artisan partners who help bring these forms into physical reality.

Background

My path into sculptural work grew from years of travel and long-term collaboration with artisan communities, particularly in Indonesia. Over time, those relationships have taught me patience, respect for craft, and the importance of process over speed.

Each piece begins as an authored design and is realized through my creative direction and long-standing partnerships.

Sculpted Peaks (2023-Present)

Sculpted Peaks began as a creative project exploring how mountain landscapes can be translated into sculptural form. In September 2024, the project was introduced through a Kickstarter campaign and supported by backers around the world.

Today, these original designs are available directly through the website. The video below offers an overview of the project, process, and inspiration behind the work.

Earlier Work

In 2014, I founded Wanderer Bracelets after my first visit to Bali sparked an interest in traditional carving and handmade production. What began as a small creative collaboration grew into a jewelry brand.

From 2014 to 2021, Wanderer Bracelets sold tens of thousands of handmade pieces through e-commerce, wholesale, and retail channels before being acquired. Production was carried out by independent artisan workshops using locally sourced materials.

That experience shaped how I approach creative work today: design-led, relationship-driven, and grounded in respect for craft and process.
